UKCS Senior Drilling Engineer, Contract

I am looking for a Senior Drilling engineer for an office based role in Aberdeenshire. This is for a long term contract, and offers challenging UKCS Drilling projects. We are looking for candidates who can start within the next 4-8 weeks. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 12 years commercial experience. Good day rates (in GBP) reflect this.

The role involves covers most aspects of well and design , whilst providing Senior operational support during drilling. The core responsibilities of the of the role cover though not limited to; Safety, Leadership, Financial and Technical/Functional. Candidates who have held the position of Lead Well Engineer, SDE, SWE roles are encouraged to apply. A technical degree is a desirable also.

The technical requirements include.
Ensure all planning is performed in accordance with the Company standards and expectations .
Liaise with Exploration and Subsurface functions on well objectives and planning cycle times.
Senior well design responsibilities, conduct casing design and Collect and review offset well data
Well AFE preparation
Prepare well estimates, and liaise with drilling accountants on development.
Write drilling programmes, liaise with service companies and drilling contractors as required.
Prepare regulatory submissions, and monitor progress of review/approvals.
Conduct internal peer reviews, and pre-spud meetings as required etc
Provide Senior operations support during drilling.
Monitor performance, supervise and motivate junior engineer and service companies.

Experience of associated technical areas such as mud design, cementing, directional planning / BHA design, geoscience and reservoir engineering is a a strong desirable . Further technical information can be provided on request.
