UI Test Developer

Our client is already transforming traditional TV with live interactive experiences with compelling trivia and videos, the ability to participate in Real Time polling, and actions that will influence the show. Now even favorite kid's TV shows enable families and children to share in the experience through visual and physical interactions. Audiences will be able to engage and interact with TV shows and events like never before!

Currently this client is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) for a hands-on role, focused on developing technology that expands the interactive TV space on the company's bestselling games/entertainment console. This position is a rare opportunity to develop the core technology used to create a brand new form of interactive entertainment.

You will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing tests for a cross-platform interactive video player, and associated tools. You will be expected to shape the design and testability of features, implement engineering systems to verify that design, and ultimately serve as an expert test consultant to a team of skilled developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and implement tests to support interactive video experiences, including speech and touch input
- Collaborate with other developers to define and document component interfaces
- Work with producers and technical leads to understand and develop solutions
- Consult on a regular basis with team leads to align expectations and deliverables
- Multitask between projects and teams fluidly

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong JavaScript/UI test candidate with experience (5+ years) shipping high-performance multimedia applications, working with large codebases to be maintained over many years
- Focus on Front End test development: deep knowledge of HTML5/CSS/DOM/JSON/Ajax, UI automation
- Proven test-case design, problem-solving, programming, and debugging skills in JavaScript, C++, and C#
- Development experience on multiple platforms
- Passion for robust User Interface development; experience with touch and speech recognition input
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation and drive for excellence
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

BONUS:

- Prior work exploring and innovating new IP, genres, and product experiences
- Experience shipping HTML5-based games
- Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile approaches
- Familiarity with JavaScript test solutions such as test adapters for VS, JsUnit, TestSwarm, Dojo Objective Harness etc.

This contract position is expected to be 3 months with a possibility of extension to a full year's duration.
