UI Software Design Engineer

Now even favorite kid's TV shows enable families and children to share in the experience through visual and physical interactions. Our client is continuing on this path of innovation and developing new concepts and foundational technology that will make TV truly interactive and come to life across many genres.

We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) for a hands-on role, focused on developing technology that expands the interactive TV space on bestselling games consoles. This position is a rare opportunity to develop the core technology used to create a brand new form of interactive entertainment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and implement a diverse range of interactive video experiences
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to define and document user experiences
- Work with producers and technical leads to understand and develop solutions
- Consult on a regular basis with team leads to align expectations and deliverables
- Multitask between projects fluidly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong JavaScript/UI candidate with experience (3+ years) shipping high-performance multimedia applications, working with large codebases to be maintained over many years
- Passion for elegant User Interface design; experience with touch and speech recognition input
- Focused on Front End development: deep knowledge of HTML5/CSS/DOM/JSON/Ajax, UX design
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Ability to design clean interfaces for UI animation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
- Self-driven, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for building a great user experience for interactive entertainment

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior work exploring and innovating new IP, genres, and product experiences
- Experience working with web services, Windows Store Apps, Azure, SQL, HTTP, and CDNs
- Experience shipping HTML5-based games
- Development experience on multiple platforms
- Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile approaches
- Experience with libraries such as jQuery, Jasmine, WebUnit, Dojo, prototype, yui, MooTools, etc.
