We are looking for an experienced MID-LEVEL UI LAMP DEVELOPER that Enhances and maintains mainly the customer-facing aspect of the companys LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) based ERP system. As a member of the Development Team, you will work collaboratively on a wide range of dynamic user interface/website enhancement projects and tasks. You will also be required to work with the Marketing and Product Development departments, graphics designers and end-users on technical design considerations, user experience improvement, search engine optimization, and bug resolution.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:

- Implements, troubleshoots and maintains dynamic, user-friendly UIs.
- Performs maintenance and enhancement of existing dynamic content modules.
- Creates dynamic, high-quality templates from graphic designs and mockups.
- Produces solid, standards-compliant, easy to read and easy to troubleshoot code.
- Performs necessary bug triage, problem resolution, and testing/QA for assigned systems.
- Brainstorms with Product Management and Marketing Department on ways to improve the user experience throughout the customer-facing aspect of the companys ERP.
- Researches and implements ways to improve metrics gathering on user interactions with the companys customer-facing web site.
- Assumes day-to-day responsibility for the companys ongoing SEO efforts.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

- Provide backup coverage for the Information Technology team, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

- Proven skills in dynamic Web-based software/site development and Responsive UI Web design. (Experience with Bootstrap a definite plus.)
- Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented PHP and the general LAMP stack working environment.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript, and common JavaScript libraries, such as JQuery.
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS, and experience troubleshooting CSS-based layouts.
- A working knowledge of data consumption from a MySQL database is required.
- Experience working within a Subversion (SVN) or Git development environment.
- Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, including functional and technical specification development, testing/QA and iterative releases.
- Familiarity with standard, effective white hat SEO tactics. (Experience with Google Analytics is a definite plus.)
- Excellent time management, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Professional attitude and customer-oriented outlook.
- A strong ability to understand business issues and how they will impact system design/architecture and the software development life cycle.

EDUCATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/EQUIVALENT:

- Associate's degree in web-based software development or dynamic web site design and management, or relevant equivalent experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- General office environment. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- The Development group is located on the second floor of our headquarters building, which houses both offices and warehouse facilities.
- Work will be conducted in an air conditioned, non-smoking, shared office environment.
