UI Embedded Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering/computer science or other appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 7+ years software engineering experience

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: - Design, implement and maintain Web-based User Interface software on an Embedded platform.
- Design to accommodate product family of devices with differing hardware features or architectures
- Design for elegant User experience and software maintainability
- Optimize designs for performance, size or other constraints
- Analyze, record and resolve defects reported by test engineers or end-users
- Responsibility for software configuration management
- Participate in complete software development life cycle processes

Minimum Qualifications:

- BSEE/BSCS minimum, MS preferred
- 7+Years Experience in Software Development
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communications Skills
- C/C++ SW development experience
- Telecommunication product development & system integration experience
- Strong knowledge of home networking protocols
- Experience using ClearCase or similar software configuration management system

Additional Qualifications:

- Web development using XHTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery
- Cable/RF/DOCSIS networks knowledge
- Wireless networking protocols
- Perl & PHP Scripting languages
- Knowledge of UI Localization techniques
- Responsive web design
- Smartphone/Tablet application development
- Knowledge of HTML5 and IP-Video protocols
- Embedded Linux Development experience
