UI Designer/6 Month Plus Contract/Alpharetta

UI DESIGNER:

Growing and well-established company located in Alpharetta has an immediate need for a UI Designer for a 6+ month contract. Your first project will be developing a custom, web based, remote monitoring solution for one of their (well-known) customers who wants them to monitor a very large site. The company needs a person to help them design the UI so it works with new and different browsers and mobile devices devices. If you have coding capability that's a huge bonus.

You must have excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work on a variety of projects and will need to have the ability to see that there is a need and fill that need on the project(s).

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years web browser UI Design experience.
- MUST provide work samples and/or URLs or online portfolio - portfolio must demonstrate consistent and compelling visual design and ability to articulate why specific visual aspects were used.
- Website design to accommodate cross-browser compatibility (Windows Explorer for Windows versions 8 & 9, Windows Explorer for the Mac version 5, Safari version 5, Blackberry native browser, Chrome version 19, Firefox version 13)
- Creating wire frames and/or design skills
- Understanding of user interface design
- Graphic design for mobile application experience highly preferred
- Blackberry phones
- Mac & Windows desktops
- Mac, Windows & Android tablets
- Developing new approaches to complex design problems and the ability to convey these designs in the form of comps and design specifications
- Multi-tasking across projects with an emphasis on prioritizing
- Will need to be self-starter with ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

- HTML, XHTML, Photoshop and Illustrator, MS Expression Studio, MS Visual Studio 2005, 2007, 2010, ASP.NET 3.5, Microsoft CRM
