UC4 Infrastructure Expert

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Patch, upgrade and implement new Automation Engine versions
- Test new hotfixes and patches release by the vendor
- Interact with vendor Support team for problem solving, application improvements
- Identify problems, propose alternatives and provide support to negotiate solutions
- with all involved parties
- Debug UC4 Automation Engine application, including Agents, GUI, Automic
- Service Manager
- Administrate Automation Engine on Linux and Windows platforms
- Prepare UAT Environment for UC4 Applications
- Automation GUI testing and deployment
- Analyses requirements, documents and agrees with business and or IT customer
- Scripting in UC4 Language, bash, VBS; SQL complex queries
- Coordinate and perform complex changes and improvements of Automic
- infrastructure and services including documentation and testing
- Coordinate and implement changes in IT Change Management including activities
- that ensure a good measure to the impact of the change within the work area and
- environment, ensure that your changes are properly planned, managed and
- reviewed
- Plan, configure and install UC4 Agents for cluster and non-cluster SAP R3, Oracle,
- Linux and Windows as well as for UC4 Service Manager
- Design crucial Housekeeping Jobs
- Monitor UC4 System performance & stability
- Develop processes, work procedures and solutions to optimize system and
- application
- Support implementation of projects and decisions, monitor project activities as well
- as milestones achievement and make necessary alignments with other teams from
- all involved parties
- Efficiently manage of operational activities unexpected/stressful situations
- (application outages), time pressure and knows what, how, when and whom to
- escalate/follow up existing problems
- Perform researches of new technologies/solutions
- Support in decisions making process related to operational activities, taking into
- consideration pro and against arguments
- Identify opportunities to improve activity, processes and regulations
- Performs all described requirements in complex daily environment on a competitive
- level, with accuracy, quality and per schedule

SKILLS
10 years overall working experience in IT, and minimum 5 years of practical
experience in the Scheduling area

- UC4 Automation Engine
- UC4 Database
- UC4 Agents
- UC4 Licensing
- UC4 Scripting
- UC4 Batch
- UC4 SAP
- Windows CMD & Unix Bash Scripting
- Good knowledge of UNIX/Windows
- Good knowledge of Office products
- Good knowledge with SQL and SQL Queries
- Familiar with VMware
- Familiar with SAP
- Familiar with VLAN, Firewall, FTP, DNS, LAN Manager, SMTP, TCP/IP
- Familiar with Oracle and SQL databases
- Familiar with Visual Basic
- Good understanding of functional relations and inter-dependencies
- Solid knowledge about IT Infrastructure and IT processes
- Project Management & Problem Management skills
- ITILv3 and PRINCE 2 Foundation Certification
- Expert fluency in English (both written and spoken)
-Basic level in German (both written and spoken)
