TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) System Administrator

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) System Administrator with knowledge of AIX.  This individual should have experience with daily TSM operations, monitoring and Client Server installations.

The ideal candidate will able to demonstrate technical experience with TSM running on AIX, hardware cabling, troubleshooting and have the ability to work with limited supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist team with TSM server and client installation.
- Assist with daily TSM operations which will include restores, backups, new client additions and missed/failed reports.
- Assist team with system build documentation, which will include hardware inventory at both data centers.
- Assist team with TSM DR configuration, documentation and testing.
- Assist team with fiber and CAT6 cabling and labeling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years of experience designing, analysing and testing TSM backup environment running on AIX in a large scale enterprise.
- Experience performing day-to-day TSM operations and monitoring.
- Experience working  with IBM Tape Silo 3584
- IBM TSM certification is desired but not required.
