Trust Accountant, Banking - London. £400 per day

TRUST ACCOUNTANT, BANKING - LONDON - £400 PER DAY

A Trust Accountant is required by a Bank in London. The successful Trust Accountant is required to deal with the book keeping of the day to day activities for a number of entities, to prepare accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of trust clients, to ensure operational standards and controls are complied with and to ensure accounts are prepared to the appropriate accounting standards.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Deliver a high quality service that meets the Service Level Agreements determined with clients.
- Ensure that the accounting and tax compliance is carried out in a professional manner that conforms with Company policy and maintains standards at the level expected of a leading service provider.
- Ensure that accounts and tax returns are prepared in accordance with client expectations and internal deadlines.
- Ensure work is completed in line with appropriate KPI's in respect of recoverability and chargeability

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Understand the basic features of the different types of investment product
- Understand the duties of the Accountant
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Good numeracy skills and ability to understand complex documents
- Ability to manage conflicting demands under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills   

QUALIFICATIONS AND INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

- Either qualified by trust accounting experience, or
- Likely to be ACA/ACCA/STEP/CTA
