Trials Manager (Weapons) - Portsmouth - 7 Month contract - up to £44.81

This role is for a Weapons Engineering Trials Engineer with substantial experience in the inspection and acceptance of weapon and sensor equipment, magazines and ship-board aviation facilities, to join a small, closely knit team that delivers engineering inspections and assurance services across the ship repair and fleet time support projects based in Portsmouth

Experience required for this role:-
- Experience in the conduct of weapons and sensors inspections, trials and acceptance and have a sound knowledge of general engineering standards applied to technical installations and systems.
- Previous experience as a manager within a weapons or sensors department either in a seagoing post or in a waterfront support role would be a major advantage.
- Have the ability to read technical drawings and interpret technical guidance instructions.
- Good communications and influencing skills are essential as is the ability to forge strong, productive working relationships within the team and project environments, and across engineering disciplines.
- You will be a good time manager with the ability to work unsupervised.
- You will be computer literate and be familiar with Windows 7, Office 2010 applications, MS Project and be confident to use database applications.
- SC Clearance would be extremely beneficial
