Triage Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Provides level 3 engineering support for issues that arise in both customer labs and in fielded set-top products. Triage works with the latest hardware and software that is delivered to customer labs as well as Legacy software and hardware that is resident in user homes.
Candidates will be exposed to a fast paced corporate environment working on the cutting edge of media and mobility systems.

SKILLS:

Recent College graduates will also be considered in the field of study listed here. Applicants with 5-10 years industry experience with technical backgrounds will also be considered. Applicant must be a well rounded individual who is willing to work with others in a team environment. The ability to work in a well defined process and document work that is being completed a must. 5 to 10 years of set-top box testing, design, or TRC support is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, 5+ years experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technologies (TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSL, Routers, Firewalls)
- Experience with one or more of the following test tools: Wireshark, MPEG Analyzer, RF Spectrum Analyzer
- Experience in test Scripting and integrating software and hardware is preferred.
- Networking protocol experience [IP routing, IP Multicasting, IPTV, HLS, RTSP, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with MPEG video encryption is a plus.
- Experience with other headend equipment is a plus.
- Must work well within a team environment.
- MS Office skills.
