My client, a tier 1 investment bank is recruiting for a treasury BA to join their team.

The Treasury IT Team within LRC IT is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to focus on projects related to Treasury. This role is ideal for an experienced Business Analyst with an in-depth knowledge of and interest in Financial Products who relishes delivering IT solutions in a dynamic environment.
The core functions of Treasury are to manage Liquidity, Funding/Issuance, and Capital for the Bank. These are supported by a number of bespoke IT platforms that the Treasury IT team are responsible for: primarily a reporting platform to support the stress testing and liquidity management functions of Treasury and a workflow system to manage the Issuance process.
With the increased focus on Treasury by both the Bank and Regulators, the team has commenced a number of transformation projects to improve its technology platforms. One is to implement a new reporting platform that will support such functions as daily stress testing, integration of new risk methodologies and key operational reporting needs. The second is to improve the support for the issuance of debt products and the understanding of the funding requirements of the Bank.

Role:
The key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the client's needs and the technical delivery team and to help successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging space. The Business Analyst will be heavily involved at all stages of the software delivery life cycle from initial scoping and planning exercises through to the detailed analysis and collaboration with the IT team to deliver working software.
The role requires an enthusiastic, pragmatic self-starter who wants to solve problems by delivering quality and cost-effective solutions through the employment of excellent business analysis techniques and functional domain knowledge.

Responsibilities:
Defining and refining business cases in conjunction with Treasury as part of the Project initiation
Challenging, capturing and articulating requirements according to the quality standards operating within the team
Maintaining and managing the product backlog to ensure priorities are agreed and clear with Treasury
Pro-active in identifying cost effective solutions to business problems
Acting as the voice of the client throughout the development process
Liaising with all parties (Treasury, Operations, IT delivery team) involved to ensure successful delivery
Assisting and supporting QAT and UAT
Ensuring agreed analysis deliverables are prepared according to deadline of the projects
Mediating and resolving issues as and when they arise
Close co-operation with other teams such as Finance, Reference data teams to ensure alignment with strategic bank IT initiatives
Identifying areas where we can improve the analysis and delivery capabilities of the wider team
Keeping aware of the latest industry trends and best practice in order to improve the team

Skills:
Outstanding analysis skills comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of analysis such as business process modelling (BPMN), use cases/user story writing, Datamodelling, UML.
Experience in stakeholder management and building excellent professional relationships
Beneficial to have an understanding of Investment Banking in general with specific knowledge of Treasury functions
Comfortable working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to delivery
Experience of working with an agile methodology would be an advantage
Experience of liaison with other departments (ie business units, infrastructure teams, audit) across multiple countries
Experience in working with remote client and vendor resources
Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
Beneficial to have experience working on projects requiring data analysis and familiarity with Reporting and Relational Database technologies such as Oracle OBIE.
Proven track record of delivering projects in a challenging environment
Fantastic written and oral communication
Flexible - keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain knowledge
Good problem-solving skills
Demonstrable success in meeting deadlines and operating with clients and vendors
Work to schedules, potentially across multiple projects and teams
Pragmatic yet showing a high attention to detail
Educated to degree level
