Treasury Back Office Specialist required for one of the EMEA region's largest commercial lending organisations to set up new and enhance existing newly formed Back Office activities related to central bank account, securities settlement for sovereign and supranational issuances across various settlement regimes and geographies, define infrastructure, train a Back Office team with cash operations experience and limited Back Office experience and ensure the process is supported with robust controls and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills; understanding the big picture and the benefits of relationships inside and outside the organisation. They will have good people management and training skills to energise teams through inclusiveness and connection. The ability to build loyalty and commitment and manage the performance and development of self and others will be essential. Capable of contributing to, establishing and maintaining rigorous governance structures by identifying key risks and building mitigating control structures.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE SPECIFIC TREASURY BACK OFFICE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

- Operational experience with the Bank of England for Reserve Account and Operational Standing Facility. Ideally in a role where that had to be put in place.
- Operational experience with securities settlements for sovereign and supranational securities, CDs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including but not limited to formulae creation.
- Experience with CitiDirect and HSBCnet for custodial services is desirable.

This is a contract position based in Surrey but will require occasional visits into London.
