TRAVELING FIELD TECHNICIAN 90% TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHEAST REGION

We are seeking a Level I, A+ Certified IT Field Technician familiar with supporting clients in a large service territory, based out of Sanford, NC. This is a two month contingent role. This role will be based out of the Sanford region, but will require significant air travel and car rental coordination.

A laptop and air card will be provided to manage your work day. The ideal Field Technician will be motivated and driven to monitor and manage the quality of their work and maintain their schedule as this is a role with high client visibility in multiple locations.

OVERVIEW

- FOLLOWS A REGIMENTED SCHEDULE.
- Deploys, installs and configures desktop, laptop computers, server installs, including operational checkouts.
- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
- PROVIDES HARDWARE/PERIPHERALS REPAIR SUPPORT, including direct interaction with the customer to identify problems and provide customer service and repair in a timely fashion.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem(s) to ensure a timely resolution.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and makes in-field repair decisions.
- May involve use of problem management databases and help desk systems as a mobile user.
- Must have experience as a field tech supporting technical work as your own manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 1 year(s) in a field environment supporting multiple client locations
- Regional Territory experience preferred
- COMPTIA A+ CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- OEM Certifications desirable
- Windows 7 and Windows XP Operating System experience including break-fix, installation, troubleshooting, imaging, etc.
- McAfee Antivirus 8.8 or comparable antivirus software experience
- Experience with cable inspection/organization/replacement (CAT5/Fiber)
- Laptop/desktop hardware break-fix experience
- Printers (Dell, HP)
- Service Now or comparable ticketing system with SLA Driven automation
- Some experience with Asset management as it relates to tracking, receipt and shipping of equipment within SLA
- Software break-fix support experience

8am 5pm core hour work schedule subject to change due to needs of the customer and travel schedule.
