TRANSPORTATION ANALYST SEATTLE, WA 5 MONTH CONTRACT

Our very high-visibility client is seeking a Transportation Analyst to join a team that identifies, creates, develops and integrates innovative solutions that lead to improvements in the extensive North American transportation network. Transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments to and from fulfillment centers and third party locations.

MUST HAVE:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Transportation/Supply Chain/Operations discipline
- Strong Math, Logical, and Problem Solving skills
- Strong analytical abilities, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models using SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Must be an excellent communicator and have good customer service skills

AS A TRANSPORTATION ANALYST YOU WILL:

- Configure the inputs driving shipping decisions for packages in the North American transportation network
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste
- Problem solve and design solutions for the transportation network
- Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference
- Support large scale transportation programs

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

- Analyst work background, or focus in higher education
- Conceptual understanding of systems, and configuration management
- Experience working with IT professionals and process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Good business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
- Entry level candidates with a degree are sought for this role
