Transport Services Co-Ordinator

A great opportunity has arisen for a bright, proactive individual to work as a Transport Service Coordinator within the Nuclear Industry. If you have a proven track record working within logistics, this could be the role for you.

Our client is a waste management company that provides services to customers to treat and dispose of low level radioactive waste; they oversee a national programme to ensure that lower activity waste is managed effectively. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and technically able individual to work as part of a small team directly coordinating the delivery of the sites Logistics (transport and packaging supply) Services. The Transport Service Coordinator is part of the Service Delivery Team providing logistics services to both the site itself and directly to waste service customers. Operating as the first point of contact for customers using the sites logistics services, providing a service processing function and a technical interface between and subcontracted hauliers. The role holder will operate and maintain the sites web based electronic logistics management system and have the ability to provide internal/external users with ongoing support. In addition to this you will be required to support the Senior Contract Officer in relation to contract management activities associated with the Nuclear Transport Service.

Essential Skills/Qualifications.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Will have/be able to develop a good knowledge of transport topics including equipment and regulations relevant to the services to be provided and be able to communicate this to stakeholders. Can demonstrate the ability to deal with people across a wide range of management levels and technical expertise. Excellent time management with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines. Must be proficient with the use of MS Office suite. Can demonstrate being an excellent team player

Desirable Skills/Qualifications.

Relevant degree, professional qualification and/or a proven track record showing extensive relevant experience.. Familiar with typical nuclear licensed site management systems and procedures. Full Driving Licence. Radioactive Material Transport - Level 1
