Transport Project Manager

OUR LARGE TRANSPORT CLIENT URGENTLY REQUIRE A PROJECT MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM ON A CONTRACT BASIS TO MANAGE VARIOUS TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS.

This role will involve liaising with stakeholders and clients within the transport industry and other local councils and authorities on a regular basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience working in similar roles and environments such as these, and this should be evident on their CV.

This role will involve being flexible to work across different projects of work at different times and will be a primarily client facing role. The Project Manager will need to be a good team player and have the ability to motivate teams and get stuck in to ensure the projects of work are delievered on time and to budget.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Track record of delivering projects to time, cost and standard.
- Demonstrable post qualification experience in successful management of significant individual projects.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and meet funding and operational targets.
- Ability to compile clear and concise technical and non-technical reports for a range of political, professional and lay-person audiences.
- Experience of dealing with projects that impact on the general public and other multiple stakeholders.
- Broad knowledge of public transport issues and transport in general
- Knowledge and experience of securing various powers for transport projects such as Transport and Works Act, Road Traffic Regulation Act, Planning Permission.
- Knowledge and experience of securing capital and revenue funding and Other 3rd party funding sources.
