Transport NOC Job

TRANSPORT NOC TIER II needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Gardner, KS.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Telecom Background required
- Outgoing/Resourceful

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Monitors and maintains the transport network.
- Opens trouble tickets and works the repair of network equipment/facilities with field operations, tech support and other work groups.
- Knows equipment specific maintenance procedures and can assist field operations in card swaps and equipment restoration.
- Knows transport network topology and/or digital loop carrier (DLC) and power topology.
- Analyzes network events and identifies critical issues, setting appropriate priorities to maintain 99.9999% network reliability.
- Works with minimal supervision in NOC environment, sometimes for extended hours and is available to work all hours in a 24x7 environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Provide Tier I/II support in platforms supported - DWDM, SONET, DCS (transport hierarchy)
- Works in x 7x24 environment and may need to work evenings, nights and/or weekends
- Provisioning and troubleshooting DS3 through OC192 level circuits
