Yoh has an exciting contract opportunity for a TRANSPORT OPERATIONS - NOC to join our client in Gardner, KS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitors and maintains the client's transport network.
- Opens trouble tickets and works the repair of complex network equipment/facilities with field operations, technical support and other work groups.
- Understands in-depth equipment specific maintenance procedures and can assist field operations in card swaps and equipment restoration.
- Takes the lead in driving equipment and facility repair.
- Analyzes network events and identifies critical issues, setting appropriate priorities to maintain 99% network reliability.
- Follow complex MOPs, anticipate problems, and take corrective action proactively.
- Understands and researches complex technical issues through vendor documentation.
- Communicates effectively with peers, other client centers, off-net providers and customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Respond to inbound calls/emails/alarm notifications.
- Analyze, diagnose, sectionalize, isolate, and resolve complex trouble situations. Including creating trouble tickets which summarizes trouble condition.
- Manage escalations through resolution.
- Manage and correlate multiple trouble reports.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and others in a repair situation.
- Provide Tier II support in multiple platforms.
- Manage and guide complex restoration bridges during outage conditions.
- Provide advanced support to technicians handling restoration activities associated with alarm and/or outage conditions of transport elements.
- Advanced interactions with all Tier repair teams.
- Initiate internal/external escalations, as necessary.
- Provide high level assistance to peers and participate in ongoing repair process improvement activities.
- Provide follow up and closure of assigned trouble tickets.
- Provide direct training to technicians and participate in ongoing repair process improvement activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced comprehensive customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively manage internal customer expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks on time, including ticket administration, communications, and follow up activities.
- Ability to train technicians in an 'on-the-job' training environment.
- High level understanding and apply technical theories in real life situations.
- High level understanding of the technical behavior in the network and implement the proper troubleshooting techniques.
- Communicate with others in a clear and concise manner. Ability to explain a complex problem in layman's terms.
- Expert user of the MS Office application suite.
- Detailed test and analysis procedures for a variety of transport equipment from DS3 to DWDM.
- In-depth understanding of Transport hierarchy, configurations and platforms.
- Ability to perform advanced to complex activities to identify and resolve alarm conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to direct restoration activities.
- Thoroughly understands transport network topology and can make final go/no-go decisions on maintenance based on current network status.
- Has thorough understanding of telecom, network topology and client's repair procedures.
- Works with minimal supervision in NOC environment, sometimes for extended hours and is available to work all hours in a 24x7 environment.
- Advanced remote troubleshooting experience.
