Transmission Engineer - Telecoms

For our client, a well-known telecommunications provider, we are looking for a
Transmission Optimisation Engineer.

Work place: Zurich
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months+

Your task:
*Responsible to monitor and improve the performance of the transmission network
*Contribute to the elaboration of the mid to long term transmission architecture evolution plan
*Develop or contribute to the access transmission design guidelines and present the new rules to planning and maintenance team for correct usage
*Lead or participate to transmission design optimisation project in order to maintain cost and quality levels according to agreed standards
*Design, plan and manage the implementation of new design enhancement

Your profile:
*Degree in engineering
*At least 3 years experience on transmission networking (planning, design and implementation)
*Good knowledge of GSM/GPRS, UMTS mobile networks and their transmission requirement
*Experience in project management and network rollout
*Fluent in English; French and/or German would be a plus

Due to work-permit restrictions, Swiss or EU passport holders are preferred!
