My client is a Global Investment Management company seeking a Transition Manager to join their transition management team.

Transition Management is a high trust product where clients provide a significant proportion of their assets to the company and as such the Transition Manager is accountable directly to the client to maintain the highest standard of care, responsiveness and deliver the standard of service. Attention to detail, personal service and technical knowledge are at the core of the skills required to be a successful member of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identifying, understanding and mitigating all forms of cost and risk that occur during the period of change
- Developing a detailed understanding of exposure, execution, process and operational management
- Defining and owning an optimal execution strategy
- Designing, implementing, monitoring and executing detailed operating plans
- Communicating transition plans to the Client both verbally and through the creation of bespoke pre- and post-trade reports.

KEY SKILLS

- Degree or higher level education required. Preferably in a quantitative subject (maths, statistics, economics, finance)
- Previous work experience or internship in a financial institution preferred.
- Good understanding of capital markets and some knowledge of hedging strategies involving equities, bonds & FX
- Self-motivated, confident and proactive problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Language skills a strong plus
- Demonstrated project management capabilities. Ability to prioritize and deliver assignments as promised, while maintaining high quality and consistent results.
- Reliable and trusted team player with strong integrity and ethics. High energy, curiosity and attention to details are essential to succeed
- High level of proficiency in working with excel spreadsheets (VBA, macros a plus).
