Projektbeschreibung

Transition Manager is required by HSBC Investment Bank.

The Transition Manager will manage the overall planning, preparation and transition of the services to the supplier. The Transition Manager will also ensure appropriate post transition handover of the services to Business As Usual (BAU) mode.

The Transition Manager will work closely with the supplier to ensure that services are transitioned without incident. He/she will support the setup of the retained organisation, ensure the design and implementation of new processes, procedures, controls and workflows and ensure the appropriate parts of the bank and the supplier deliver as per contractual obligations during transition. He/she will track transition project deliverables, sign off on delivery milestones and support decisions around whether transition project milestones payments should be made.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Ensure service transition is in line with the strategic direction for Programme while facilitating the delivery of key business objectives and drivers during Transition.
- Demonstrate an awareness of the high level service management strategy and how its implementation affects and influences operational service delivery and activities.
- Ensure effective relationships and communications are developed during Transition with key stakeholders (eg Accountable Executive, Supplier and Business stakeholders, HR, ER, Procurement, Compliance, Communication).
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with the in-scope businesses/functions to ensure effective transition and cutover with minimal disruption to existing businesses.
- Manage and provide oversight for activities related to business cutover including business process transition planning and system cutover planning using best practice methodologies and processes
- Assess business requirements; analyse current and future state of business processes and system landscape; evaluate possible solutions and improvements; and present recommendations to Working Groups
- Develop project resourcing strategies, allocating budget, staff, tools, and specialized support necessary for business cutover and transition; work with the finance department and various function managers to ensure department budgets, project costs and schedules are properly estimated and controlled
- Anticipate and identify issues inhibiting the attainment of the Transition goals; develop and implement corrective actions; monitor and report to Governance Forums representing the STRATEGIC SOURCING DIVISION and the Businesses. Functions on the status of the Transition plans and milestones, risks and issues
- Ensure all HSBC contractual obligations are met, with regular reports on issues and possible resolution
- Resolve key operational issues & risks to achieve satisfactory performance according to the SLA
- Foresee potential service disputes and develop action plans to prevent or minimise the impact on the businesses/functions
- Manage escalation as required
- Understand the key elements (legal, commercial, Transition, etc) of the service to drive out further value from service Transition
- Foresee and manage all risks and issues across the service including financial, legal, regulatory, reputational, operational and sustainability risks.
- Work collaboratively with the Supplier Manager and businesses/functions to identify and address risks and issues.
- Take ownership for capturing any critical/complex risk and issue scenarios developing actions for the most appropriate risk management approach to minimise business disruption.
- Promote the use of HSBC risk management techniques/principles.
- Understand the needs of Global Bankingsupport the Accountable Executive with supporting information and materials; work with the vendor to ensure compliance with governance obligations; chair/support internal governance meetings including logistics and materials.
- Accurately report on and work with the relevant teams on any service management or audit/assurance testing/compliance activities.
- Own and resolve any audit or controls actions with completion within agreed timescales and reporting on progress as at when requested.
- Escalate issues to the Accountable Executive as appropriate.
