TRANSITION MANAGER

- Location: Brussels, Belgium
- Eligibility criteria: Preferably fluent in French.
- Duration: 12 months
- Start date: July 2013
- End date: July 2014
- Allocation: full time onsite

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The management and delivery of Key Transition Projects and Programs of work that are organizationally complex, carry a high degree of risk from start through to in life service and require a Senior level of Project experience and commercial understanding. This is a Documentum Transition engagement and Documentum experience is a must.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver all Transition Projects and Programs in line with recognized best practice methodology (managing risk, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, reporting), where the successful implementation of resource skills and processes are just as critical to project success as technology
- Deliver customer advocacy via exemplary Transition project delivery
- To take full responsibility for the management of the wider transition team involving additional project management resource, internal technical resource, 3rd party suppliers, account team members and client stakeholders
- To interface with 3rd party suppliers, involving agreement, planning, timelines and quality of deliverables
- Produce detailed project plans to manage interdependencies
- Ensure strict commercial change control to manage deviations
- Adhere to relevant escalation processes to escalate resource issues, delayed project phases, missed deadlines and other planning issues
- Ensure commercial project milestones are agreed and published and that invoices are raised with reference to these dates and/or on completion of deliverables
- Manage the expenditure within the Transition, ensuring all costs are recorded against products and services delivered
- Create and effectively manage the stakeholders, incorporating all project work-streams
- Ensure products and services delivered within the Transition are within time and budget constraints and meet the required level of quality
- Monitor the programme/project ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and the appropriate corrective actions are implemented
- Review the outcomes of the Transition Projects to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future delivery in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfaction
- Work with client Transition Manager and domain managers to ensure resources, etc. required for transition are made available in timely and adequate manner
- Regularly report the transition status to the steering committee
- Establish transition acceptance criteria, and work towards meeting the same
- Work closely with client Transition Manager for resource replacement plan
- Ensure that lesson learnt and best practices are taken forward and implement

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

- Documentum experience is a must.
- Hands on experience in Documentum, Captiva, xPression.
- Experience of project delivery in all aspects of the Transition Lifecycle Management for the introduction of outsourcing or managed support services, specific examples include, service desk, systems and network management, hardware maintenance and site services
- Degree level or equivalent desirable
- ITIL Foundation, Practitioner desirable
- Project Management qualification
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously
- Experience of managing, direct or Matrix, project managers, technical resource and other resource assigned to a Service Transition
- Candidates with Service Delivery Operations or similar disciplines will be considered with relevant project management experience
- Experience in managing deliverables via 3rd party vendors in a high profile and/or technically innovative enterprise solution
- Commercial experience in the management of projects to budgetary constraints and where effective commercial change control has been incorporated
