Transition Engineer

Eingestellt von Hays - South Coast

Gesuchte Skills: Network, Client, Engineer

Projektbeschreibung

Our client - a world leader in Air Traffic Control and Management - are looking for 2 x Network Transition Engineers to join one of their network modernisation project teams. They need experienced Network Transition Engineers to help on a project that will upgrade their existing legacy communications network (based on Nortel Passport devices) to new BT 21CN kit.

The project team requires two Engineers with considerable expertise in Communications Networks, coupled with comprehensive project experience. The job will require a proactive approach to support the Transition Manager who is responsible for migrating services from the existing network onto the upgraded network. This role entails supporting the management and co-ordination of all transition related activities

Applicants must hold SC Clearance or be willing to undertake this. The successful candidates will be trained on Nortel Passport devices so this experience is not essential - experienced network engineers are what we are looking for. Industry certifications are not necessary - this is about practical experience of transitioning a network and its services from the legacy solution. There will be elements of support work required (when transition activities slow down) as you will be working on a live network.
