DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Regulatory Operations EMEA is split into two teams who are responsible for daily operational oversight and management of regulatory day to day processes ensuring compliance for transaction reporting and client assets. In addition the team is responsible for assessing impact to these processes by future regulatory legislation ensuring regulatory change governance and delivery of the CASS change programmeand the Transaction Reporting remediation and back reporting requirements.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role requires the successful individual to be/have

- Full understanding of the FCA requirements as they relate to Transaction Reporting (SUP17, TRUP, CESR)
- Familiarising and understanding the requirements of the Transaction Reporting back reporting project, including remediation and back-reporting, providing input and guidance from an Operations perspective and aiding timely delivery of the project
- Review of all trade booking permutations and reference each back to FCA requirements
- Assess the data integrity of reported data including completeness and accuracy
- Ensure Operations completeness and accuracy of reporting for each product monitoring for rules changes and impact on business.
- Responsible for the identification, interpretation and communication of new/changes to regulatory rules and the associated impact on Transaction Reporting 
- Input/development of continuous monitoring/quality assurance end to end testing of transaction reporting across all product classes and systems
- Understand and assess the impact of upcoming regulatory pipeline including but not limited to MIFID II, EMIR & MiFIR  and ensure regulatory compliance is maintained
- Familiar with Market Watches and other transaction reporting related documentation
- Industry groups participation and dissemination of output form  relevant industry groups to key stakeholders

KEY OBJECTIVES CRITICAL TO SUCCESS

- SME in Transaction Reporting
- Understand and be fully conversant with FCA Transaction Reporting rules, TRUP, SUP17 & CESR etc
- Understanding of the current regulatory environment and regulatory pipeline, assessing the impact of upcoming regulatory change on Operations processes as they relate to transaction reporting

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

- Excellent knowledge of Transaction Reporting rules and requirements
- Excellent communication skills - up/down/across
- Good analysis and problem solving skills
- Self starter
