TRAINING STANDARDS OFFICER (AVIONICS)

Contract opportunity working in FAREHAM: GOSPORT & FAREHAM for 11 MONTHS INITIALLY. We are looking for a Training Standards Officer for our Defence sector client.

JOB TITLE: Training Standards Officer (Avionics)

LOCATION: Fareham: Gosport & Fareham

DURATION: 11 month

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Must have valid SC before starting post.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years' experience in Avionics aeronautical (electrical side) engineering less years will also be considered. Defence aviation experience ie in engineering or other based on aviation.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
BTEC/HND/ONC in aerospace or aeronautical engineering are highly desirable. Teaching education experience or certificate in aviation will be desirable.

PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO THIS ROLE NOT ALREADY DETAILED ABOVE:

1. The DSAT compliant design, review and maintenance of all allocated courses/modules in accordance with the Document Review and Upkeep Plan and the timetable agreed with the Training Requirements Authority (TRA).

2. Production, maintenance and administration of all courseware including Assessment Specifications, Instructional Specifications, Technical Training Notes, electronic media

3. Production, maintenance and administration of all associated assessments

4. Acting as a specialist avionic examiner for LAET Final Oral Assessments

The Training Development & Standards Organisation (Gosport) is responsible for all aspects of training analysis, design, assessment and media support for all DSAE Gosport delivered training including career courses and targeted employment training. Suitable candidates should have served an apprenticeship and possess an appropriate ONC, City and Guilds Pt 3, BTEC or equivalent qualification plus 5 years recent experience within an Aeronautical Engineering Avionics specialisation.

Applicants who have gained at least 5 years appropriate aircraft engineering experience at SNCO level in HM Forces supported by current experience of working in a formal aeronautical engineering training environment will be deemed to meet the necessary requirements.
