Training Specialist

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

- Create, update and maintain electric and gas facility maps using PassPort, CIS, Auto EDMS, various Access databases, IrasB, Microstation and GIS.
- Provides technical mapping support to internal and external customers regarding as-built sketches and location of field facilities.

DUTIES:

- Review, interpret, and verify accuracy of internal and external information (ie field sketches, job packages, as-built drawings, maps, and associated databases) utilizing company Construction Standards, as well as city, state and municipal land base information.
- Update electric and gas facility maps using Microstation, IrasB, and GIS.
- Utilize PassPort to research affected documents (pending map updates) with all associated ECs (engineering changes).
- Verify as-built information by performing field investigations.
- Maintain all CAD drawings for Electric Construction Standards.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer Aided Drafting background and demonstrated experience in Microstation and IrasB.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret as-built sketches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Gas experience
- Preferred: Certified in GIS and IrasB. Knowledge of PassPort. Knowledge of electric and gas distribution systems, and demonstrated ability to read distribution prints.
