TRAINING DESIGNER (TRAINING SUPPORT) - PORTSMOUTH

Due to an exciting contract win we are seeking a Training Designer to develop new training courses and revise existing courses for the Royal Navy. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) and previous Training Design experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- To support the Training Support Team Supervisor (Training Design) in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the Training Contract and Projects for Training Design activities.
- The production and development of training design documentation and the identification of instructor competencies and SQEP to support new training requirements.
- Conduct the design, maintenance and revalidation of training documentation to DSAT standards
- Provide SME advice on training design issues and policy
- Monitor assigned courses to maintain accreditation requirements iaw tri-Service and single Service policies.
- Ensure compliance withMoD regulations and procedures
- Develop an assessment strategy to ensure it reflects current training objectives.
- Liaise with the Customer, external agencies, training groups and training planning over the development of training documentation and the planning of courses.
- Represent the training design function at relevant internal and external meetings.

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience of Marine and/or Military Engineering systems and equipment
- Consolidated experience of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training)
- DCTS Training Design (successful completion)
- DCTS Job Analysis (successful completion)
- Experience in developing technology based design solutions (E-learning, multimedia)
- Familiarity with civilian accreditation procedures
- Understanding of modern teaching and training solutions
- ECDL or equivalent demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
