JOB TITLE: Trainer & Consultant - Diamond/Tapestry
LOCATION: Silver Spring, MD 20904
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To be responsible for developing regional operational business processes, workflows, policies, desk level procedures, training documentation, training delivery and business requirement plans for Claims Administration, and other HPSA business in support of Diamond/Tapestry Accounts Payable platform in collaboration with the Claims Business Architect, and IT System support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads training requirements for department by preparing documents and delivering claims related training in addition to providing training support as needed.
- Develops departmental and appropriate regional HPSA business unit processes, workflow, policies, desk level procedures, other training documentation, and business requirements plans in support of Diamond/Tapestry AP platform in collaboration with IT support.
- Support prioritizing MAS strategies, the presentation, and implementation of technology in support of Diamond/Tapestry AP National Platform.
- Support national/regional teams which focus on technology improvements to identify and analyze the most promising options. Communicate the findings.
- Performs root cause analysis with recommendations in a summary report to all appropriate stakeholders.
- Serves as a spokesperson and an advocate for technology based improvements in business practice through conducting testing and communicating analyses of impacts of proposed improvements.
- Works with the Claims and other HPSA Leadership to develop work-plans, identify options and implement required improvements in order to operationalize regional strategic business initiatives.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following:
- 9 years' experience in a Health Plan environment OR
- 7 years' experience in a Health Plan environment AND an Associate's Degree in business, finance, or any health-related field OR
- 5 years' experience in a Health Plan environment AND a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or any health-related field
- 3 years' experience in a claims environment, business analysis, documentation/training, audit, compliance, or IT role supporting a claims operation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):
- Familiarity with Health Plan operations
- Demonstrated understanding of technology as a tool to improve business practices
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective advocate and spokesperson
- Strong project management abilities
- Strong presentation skills
