Requirements: * Extensive experience in Linux system administration, Linux application support, or Linux system development * In depth knowledge of preferably python but would accept candidates with good knowledge in perl and bash * Acute attention to detail * Interest in finance from a technical perspective * Preferably background in applications support * Must be able to problem solve in a high pressure environment, prioritize critical tasks * Ability to understand the big picture as well as be in command of the details required (and execute these details) to provide solutions * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Results oriented, highly flexible, team player * Self-motivated and the ability to work independently Responsibilities: * Oversee the day-to-day trading operations by monitoring infrastructure systems and all trading systems for any issues * Manage and assess risks associated with systems performance issues * Handle configurations, testing, releases, installations, and monitoring of trading applications and the respective back end systems * Work closely with research/traders, software developers, IT and other business partner groups * Assist in documentation of process, procedures and daily activities This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Linux System Administrator.
