Trades Supervisor

The purpose of this job is to guide, direct and actively manage the work of the front-line team members to ensure that effective repairs to void and tenanted properties, as required, are delivered to the approved standards as quickly as possible.

Efficient and effective use of all the resources, available to the team, is to be maintained at all times. This role will require a “hands-on” approach to the supervisory role including an on-site presence at jobs, and demonstrating leadership.

KEY RESULT AREAS

To assign jobs to individual front-line team members to ensure that all staff understand and meet the policies of the service with regard to:
- Making and keeping customer appointments
- Positive Interaction with customers/tenants
- Work to be undertaken/completed in accordance with relevant quality/lettable standards
- Provision of a responsive, flexible service which meets or exceeds customers/tenants' reasonable needs and expectations

Personal Attributes local Authority / Housing Association
experience.

Time served tradesperson or building related background
