Traded Risk Controls Project Manager

A leading bank based in Canary Wharf are looking to take on a Project Manager with a wealth of experienced around Traded Risk and more specifically Traded Risk Controls. Experience of risk management within Tier 1 banking is essential to apply.

The purpose of this role is to undertake Project Management and change management related activity within GBM Credit Risk Change. The candidate will work closely with relevant business and IT stakeholders to ensure and coordinate implementation of system, processes and controls within the EPE Programme.

The position is to undertake a Project Management / Change Management role within the Analytics for Counterparty Credit Risk Change. The position holder will be in charge of the end to end project for systems, models and processes implementation within the traded credit risk engine. This will include coordination and supervision of all the project phases from inception to completion and liaison with all the stakeholders involved from IT to Credit Risk and any other relevant party.

Essential:

* Previous experience of running complex credit risk models projects in Tier 1 banks.

* Experience of full project lifecycle including IT and Business deliverables.

* Experience of running/coordinating all the project phases from inception to completion.

* Understanding of risk systems and risk measures.

* Experience to negotiate between different parties of the project and agree on core objectives/deliverables

* Experience in agreeing priorities with IT and business stakeholders.

* Experience in producing high quality and structured communication protocols.

* A background of both waterfall and agile project development methodology.

* Understanding of change management procedures

Desirable:

* Deep understanding of Monte Carlo Engine and Stress Testing

* Experience in Trading Book Credit Risk Systems projects

* Experience/knowledge and understanding of Corporate Banking / Trading businesses and products/services.

Qualifications

Essential

* A very good knowledge of Microsoft products e.g. Excel, Work, Power point, Outlook,

* A deep knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project

* Influencing/Negotiating techniques

* Project Management techniques and project lifecycle training

* Waterfall project development methodology

Desirable:

* Prince (or PMBOK) Certification

* Agile project development methodology

Technical Competence

Essential

* Understanding of credit risk systems

* Understanding of credit risk measures
