Position - Trade Floor Support Engineer
Rate - €300 - €600 per day, dependent on experience
Location - Brussels, Belgium
The Role
Trade Floor Support Engineer
If you're an experienced Trade Floor Support Engineer and looking for your next role then I'd love to hear from you. The end client is a large corporation in the banking sector, however has a reputation for creating small welcoming teams. There are 2 roles available; one immediately, one from October and both will be long term contracts (potentially 2/3 years!)
You
You will play a crucial role in providing global approach/solutions. Support and maintain the global dealing room environment, ranging from end user workstations to Back End Servers. You will analyse and troubleshoot incidents and work pro-actively to reduce recurrence.
Trade Floor Support is composed of Ops Engineers who deliver top quality support to one of the most critical departments in the bank: Financial Markets. Within the team, they embrace the agile way of working to improve efficiency and to ensure they provide the best service possible to their customers.
Key role responsibilities:
Incident and problem management
*Pick up incidents
*Analyse impact and work on resolution
*Follow up until completed resolution
Cross-border collaboration and end design
*Align with other teams in other Dealing Rooms to provide the best support global experience
Hardware
*Qualifying and benchmarking new systems
*Maintaining contact with various vendors
*Global unified solutions
Key skills/background
*An IT degree or similar through experience
*Windows OS expertise, including Architecture knowledge
*Experience in a support function
*MS Office and Windows troubleshooting, SCCM, networking, Scripting, Appsense
*Any MS certification is an added value, as well as development languages and ITIL certification
English speaking essential, Dutch/French speaking would be a bonus.
Background
These Trade Floor Support Engineer roles are due to leavers from what has previously been a very stable team and so the manager is keen to get them replaced as soon as possible.
