Trade Application Support Manager

Role Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of 8-10 support engineers and potential overseas management of 10-15 support engineers
* Building successful relationships with senior business partners, and taking full responsibility for the quality of service provided by their team to the desk
* Driving the fix of major technology incidents affecting their area of responsibility and driving actions to minimize the risk of future occurrence
* Maintaining partnerships with members of the development community, infrastructure partners, and global peers and staff

* The ability to rationalize the impact of multiple concurrent issues/requests/projects and distribute work accordingly their staff members
* Ensuring team members are disciplined in meeting their effort tracking, timekeeping, and compliance training responsibilities
* An intuitive problem solving ability which leads to solution alternatives that reflect the lead's diverse foundation of knowledge, skills and experiences
* The confidence, focus, and adaptable communication style required to effectively coordinate the resolution of high-impact technology incidents
* Enforcement of change management policies to minimize the risk of instability presented by technical changes

Technical Skills

* Experience with C# and .Net (programming a plus or supporting this environment)
* SQL (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc...)
* Operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows
* Scripting languages: Python, Unix Shell, Perl

Other skills

* Must have experience working as a support manager within the banking or trading industry- Equities a plus
* Electronic trading and exchange connectivity
* Proven management experience at a high level managing 8-10 employees and overseas management
* Proven high level communication skills
