The Clients first turnkey project in the UK, known as Nottingham Express Transit is extend the existing Nottingham Tram system with the construction of two new lines from the city center terminus. The project also includes the operation and maintenance of the current system as well as the two new lines once they are built. In fulfilling this contract, my Client will draw on its global expertise in the area of infrastructure and turnkey systems. This activity includes electrification of railway lines, track laying, modernization of existing lines and electromechanical systems for new railway lines, tramways and metros. We have already electrified more than 10,000 kilometers and has laid more than 2,000 kilometers of track.

Reporting to the Track Quality Manager you will be responsible for completing and recording Quality Control Checks during and after the Track construction; you will be working with the Track Inspection and Test Plan.

Your main duties will be to:
Complete and record Quality Checks for all aspects during the Track Construction.
Inspect the Track Construction Works.
Perform concrete slump tests and ensure all the concrete cubes are prepared.
Adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
Keep record of track rail welding information and plans.

Qualifications
Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
HNC/HND qualification (essential)
Experience with concrete, direct fix and Embedded Track Construction Projects
Proven site experience within a rail environment
Quality control experience (preferred)
Team spirit approach and good communication skills
Good organisational skills and work ethics
Responsible attitude towards Health, Safety and Quality
Fluency in English
Proficient user if MS Word and Excel
Valid and in date CSCS card.
