Town and Country Planner

I am looking to hire Town and Country Planner for my public client. Some travel required for this role.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Sustainable Places Advisor you'll:

deal with high risk planning applications and pre-application enquiries;

work with internal colleagues to understand environmental pressures and opportunities associated with development and translate these into clear messages for external customers;

build strong relationships with a range of customers including Local Planning Authority staff, developers, consultants and our Defra family;

be up to date on the latest planning framework.

DESIRABLE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Good Microsoft Office skills

Microsoft qualification (MCP or equivalent)

Any type of trading systems or market data tools

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

To be a successful Sustainable Places Advisor you'll ideally have some experience of working within the planning system, have a proven track record of excellent customer service, be capable of effective working within teams and possess good communication and IT skills.

You'll also have excellent organizational skills and be able to work to deadlines prioritizing your work.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Graduates - experienced in local planning
