TOWER PROCUREMENT LEAD (APPLICATION MANAGEMENT)

BASED IN CENTRAL LONDON

- To manage Procurement within a key Programme of work. This means: designing the Procurement strategies; tendering, negotiating managing the supplier and stakeholder relationships; managing the contracts; and resolving the key issues. A crucial role in delivering the savings expected from the Performance Efficiency Programme.
- Ensure critical supplies and services are delivered into front-line and headquarters' operations, including courts, prisons and tribunals.
- Your professional expertise and judgement will be relied upon by senior colleagues.
- You will be working very closely with the Senior ICT stakeholders.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- You will lead a team in developing and implementing the most appropriate supply and value chains in support of Application Support maximising value from money spent; stopping unnecessary spend; minimising the negative economic, environmental and social impact of what's procured; eliminating unnecessary distraction to those outside the procurement function; complying with legislation and regulation; and managing risk appropriately.
- Line Management - Leadership, development and motivation of staff, setting standards and values for the organisation. Ensuring effective communications with staff, unions and partners are in place.
- Corporate Leadership - Sets the vision and direction; communicates priorities and business plans and ensures that individual and team objectives are aligned with them

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or relevant equivalent.
