Tools Engineer (Enterprise Development)

We are looking for Tools Engineer II in NC, details:

LOCATION: CARY, NC

DURATION: 6 MONTHS+

START: 2 WEEKS

Role Description:

The Development Tools Engineer will manage and support key components of our integrated standard SDLC toolset infrastructure used across all of their Clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guide the evolution of the standard SDLC toolset used across.

Configure and deploy tools to automate the build, test, and release processes.

Automate and simplify software development processes.

Design and implement new software development, life cycle management and collaboration tools and processes as appropriate.

Qualifications:

5+ years of systems administration experience for enterprise-level sites - Linux/Unix/Windows, including solid Shell Scripting and command-line skills.

Knowledge of networks to a level to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues.

Experience in running services and providing L2/L3.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Highly desirable:

o Experience with IBM Rational development tools, especially the Rational Jazz platform.

o Experience with source code version control systems such as SVN, Git.

o Experience with build management, dependency management and continuous integration tools such as TeamCity, Hudson/Jenkins, Maven, Ant, MSBuild, Nexus.

o Experience with Atlassian products - JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible is also a plus.

o Experience with application life cycle management and software change/configuration management.

Beneficial:

o Experience building Java/JEE and .NET applications.

o Experience with relational database management systems and SQL.

o Experience in Java development, particularly:

- REST API programming.
- WSDL programming.

o Experience with JavaScript.

o Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science.

Additional degrees and certifications can supplement but not substitute for Baccalaureate level study of Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
