Job Description
To estimate the value and plan the associated Tooling within a Contract, prior to and post agreement with the Customer for: - production use and development work.

Responsibilities
Tool Planning: -
To provide Tool manufacturing plans, access capabilities (both In-house and Sub-contactors areas) and load
Tooling work according to the overall business plans, in conjunction with the Scheduling and Subcontract Account Managers.

Estimating:
Produce detailed Tooling estimates for In-house and Sub-contract work to enable Tool manufacture costs to be agreed, liaising with the Sub-Contractor as & when required.
Check and query quotes received from Sub-contractors and endorse payment.

Budgets: 
Manage specific contractual budgets through to completion in liaison with the appropriate Account Management teams.

Where necessary the successful applicant must be willing, to undertake structured training to enable him/her apply his/her basic skills to new techniques new materials and/or new equipment as the state of the art of aircraft design, production and assorted technologies change.

The Individual
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Have at least 3 years Toolmaking experience plus an academic qualification to O.N.C standard or equivalent. Have a sound Knowledge of manufacturing methods and Aircraft build techniques and able to demonstrate his/her ability as a creative thinker.
The role involves considerable use of IT.
Development will be undertaken by ON THE JOB TRAINING where required and appropriate training courses for the use of any systems etc.
