I am currently looking for an experienced TIVOLI STORAGE MANAGER ARCHITECTURE consultant to work on a one year contract for a market leading client of mine in JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA.
JOB SUMMARY:
AN EXPERIENCED RESOURCE TO ASSIST WITH NEEDS ANALYSES, ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN MODIFICATIONS AND CONFIGURATION IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING FOR 10 AFRICAN COUNTRIES.
TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
Participate in Planning & Design meetings/discussions
Evaluation of existing TSM design
Needs analyses for each individual country (HW & SW)
Modification of design to suite needs of each country
Implementation planning and documenting
Hand-over to implementation teams
SKILLS REQUIRED:
TSM
AIX
AIX HA/HACMP
TCP/IP, NFS, NIS and DNS TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager)
AIX 6
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong writing skills to produce technical documentation is a MUST
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
Experience in architecting production solutions utilizing multiple versions of ITSM to backup and recover applications running on AIX.
Backup and Storage solutions to include physical and virtual environments
Specific knowledge of Databases and best practices related to backup/restore
Specific knowledge of Applications and best practices related to backup/restore
Ability to lead technical working sessions
Strong knowledge of network and systems design principles including Routers, Switches, Firewalls and load balancers
Advanced knowledge Multi-Tier Application architecture design
