Tivoli Contractor (SC)

A Tivoli Specialist is required for an initial 18 week contract to be based in Exeter.

Ideally Candidates will hold current SC Clearance.
Candidates without clearance must be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
As a Tivoli Specialist you will deliver new service monitoring solutions using IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6 software and provide the technical support required to ensure that the delivery of the monitoring service meets the agreed SLA.

Additional responsibilities include;
*Ensure that all business processes (including ITIL processes), work instructions and development guidance associated with the tools supported and developed by the team are followed.
*Develop cost effective service and system monitoring solutions to meet customer requirements, on time and in full. Work with project teams to provide solution designs, consulting and developing against project requirements, and identifying/delivering improvements whilst ensuring any new services or developments will be fit for operational purposes.
*Support the Team in the delivery and management of Service and System Monitoring solutions to the agreed SLA, using best practise standards. Identify and recommend enhancements and areas for improvement to existing technologies and processes.
*Create and maintain system and project documentation

Essential Qualifications, Skills
*Technical support for problem diagnosis and resolution;
*Administration and management of a distributed deployment;
*Reporting and analysis.
*Knowledge of a Scripting language, such as bash or Perl, and experience with creating scripts to automate processes.
*A history of delivery in an Application Support and Development role, demonstrating the use of best practise in Application Support and Service Management, or service design and development .
*Working knowledge of Linux with experience of installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting software applications deployed on Linux.
*Good working knowledge and understanding of Service management and especially the ITIL principles.
*Evidence of good team working, enhancing the collective output of that team
