Tier III Systems Engineer

Yoh has a one (1+) year contract opportunity for a TIER III SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our client, a gaming infrastructure organization within a software company in Redmond, WA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Interface with Microsoft to assess technical requirements and develop detailed design proposals to meet documented requirements.
- Tier 3 support for services and applications hosted by SSO.
- Communicate issues/resolutions effectively within SSO via email, phone calls; Microsoft selected ticketing system and meetings.
- Draft architectural diagrams of the proposed technical solutions.
- Comply with all Microsoft security standards in both system architecture and as an individual user.
- Configuration, testing and troubleshooting of applications/services in SSO data centers such as IIS, SQL, MS OS, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring escalated support and operational issues are resolved in a timely manner, tracked according to standards, and escalated to other groups as appropriate.
- Design/present modifications and improvements to procedures/environments with the objective of improving quality and ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Assist the Customer Engagement team with planning resource requirements in advance of production releases and ensure correct performance and functionality before releases via staged testing.
- Provide detailed and tailored instruction and support documentation for each service that is delivered.
- Define and negotiate customer monitoring management packs, and provide tailored instruction and support documentation for each service that is delivered.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- MCSE 2003/2008 or MCITP Server Admin/Enterprise Admin.
- Four to six (4 - 6) years of Windows Server Experience.
- Two to five (2 - 5) years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Internet -Applications, IIS, DNS, FTP, SFTP, TCP or SSH.
- One to three (1 - 3) years of experience with clustering or other load balancing solution configuration.
- One to three (1 - 3) years of experience with SQL Service, specifically clustering, log shipping, DB replication and performance tuning.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of customer relations experience.
- Associates Degree or higher is preferred.
