Tier I Infrastructure Support Analyst Job

TIER 1 INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT ANALYST NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Zero to three (0-3) years IT work experience
- Strong knowledge of network concepts; TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The position supports the regular and reliable operations of the Information Technology infrastructure.
- Primary function is to monitor and control the infrastructure, and associated equipment, according to established standards, procedures and required documentation.
- This position is a rotational shift position that will include weekends every other week (Day or night shift). Shift rotation pattern is available on request.
- Provide monitoring, support, and problem resolution for the enterprise batch scheduling environment.
- Monitor the server and Mainframe infrastructure and respond to alerts.
- Performs 1st level problem resolution. Escalate complex problems to the appropriate support teams. Monitor the status of problem resolution.
- Provide documentation/reports for infrastructure related events.
- Execute daily responsibilities in support of external groups (rebooting Servers, creating print queues, setting up DHCP scopes, TCP/IP address reservations, etc.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education: Associates Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
- Zero to three (0-3) years of work experience

- Ability to learn quickly and follow written procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to Windows, Unix, or Mainframe Operating Systems
- Understand network concepts which include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
