Tier 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst

Link Technologies is looking for a Tier 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst for a contract position with a public sector client in Las Vegas NV. If you are looking to join a team-oriented and friendly environment, this position is for you!

DUTIES:

- Position will function as a Developer/Programmer Analyst working with client Information Technology Technical Services Desktop Support. With minimal coaching, duties will include:
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and the ability to collaborate with IT and Management.
- Determine solutions to packaging problems.
- Document results of packaging problems and remediation for Windows-Office Replacement project.
- Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintains and communicates accurate status of work performed.
- Ability to summarize and report results.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
- Attend project and team meetings to report results and take assignments.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's service by offering suggestions or direction as a member of the project team.
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively.
- Uses standard office equipment.
- May be required to drive a personal motor vehicle in the course of the work.
- Ability to travel to different client locations to obtain project information.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

- Experience using Admin Studio
- Experience with troubleshooting and application remediation
- Exposure to application sequencing using tools, eg MDOP, Admin Studio
- Knowledge of VP Scripting, and Batch Scripting
- Knowledge of Desktop OS Architecture (preferably Windows 7)
- Experience in user acceptance testing
- Understanding of Microsoft windows Installer (.MSI), Windows Installer Patch (.MSP), Windows Installer Transforms (.MST), and response files (.iss)
- Exposure to SCCM Packaging and deployment.
- Exposure to Application Virtualization (AppV, Admin Studio Complete, etc.)
- Exposure with MDT 2012
- Knowledge of operation of personal computers, standard office
- Knowledge of PC and application software.
