WHAT YOU DO (CAPABILITIES)

You deliver standard, self-service infrastructure services to the Infra NL consumers together with your squad and Infra Area. You are able to move all typical user stories and tasks from "To-Do" to "Done". Especially, you focus on:

DELIVER FULL INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICE TO THE CONSUMER

- Develop consumable, standardized infrastructure services (resilient, high quality, highly automated and up-to-date)
- Support and educate consumers on using the standardized infrastructure services (consumer is responsible for their own instances)
- Implement mandatory security standards
- Develop an ecosystem of tools to provide self-service capabilities to the consumer

APPLY CONTINUOUS DELIVERY PRACTICES

- Manage all resources in version-controlled repositories (incl., code, scripts, configurations, artefacts, static resources)
- Refactor and reuse existing code/modules/functionality
- Write fully automated tests (eg, unit-, functional-, non-functional- and integration testing)
- Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks
- Develop micro services and APIs

APPLY AND IMPROVE DEVOPS WAY OF WORKING

- Implement user stories from backlog as agreed with the Product Owner, without spending time on work outside the backlog
- Participate rigorously in DevOps rituals (eg daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, peer reviews)
- Continuously improve yourself, your squad and the service i. Conduct root cause analysis to identify service improvements ii. Actively ask for feedback and coaching for improvement iii. Provide feedback to squad members to avoid waste
- Collaborate within and across squads to understand your services end-to-end

COMPETENCIES - SKILLS

BROAD UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNOLOGIES AND CONSUMER NEEDS

- Knowledge across stack, technologies and ecosystems
- Experience with developing solution based on TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) and TIBCO Business Process management (BPM)
- Experience with operational activities of TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS), TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) and TIBCO Business Process management (BPM)
- Experience in Red Hat Linux, Jenkins and GIT
- Technology of interfacing squads and consumers to achieve end-to-end view
- Impact of different factors on performance and capacity of services
- Technical implications of Security and Risk principles
- Basic understanding of Micro-Services and Service Oriented Architecture
- Clear understanding of consumer context and needs, as well as the value-add of your service to the consumer

EXPERTISE IN MULTIPLE CODING/SCRIPTING LANGUAGES AND AUTOMATION TOOLING

- Working knowledge of configuration tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible
- Scripting experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, Bash
- Experience with virtualization environments and tools eg, VMware, Cloud Forms

WORKING-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF AGILE AND DEVOPS PRACTICES

- Understanding of the Scrum methodology (eg backlog and spring planning, review and marketplace)
- Knowledge of Lean practices (eg, waste identification, visual management)
- Deep knowledge of DevOps way of working (eg, continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)
