£67.91 - £84.49 PER DAY PAYE

FULL TIME - 35 HOURS PER WEEK

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA

TEMPORARY CONTRACT UNTIL 31ST MARCH 2013

AN ENHANCED CRB ISSUED BY CAPITA RESOURCING WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS IS REQUIRED TO BE IN SITU PRIOR TO STARTING THIS POSITION.

If you believe in developing a culture of aspiration for families by being a persistent motivational figure and want to support and challenge families to help them de-escalate out of Children's Specialist Services by using a 'whole family approach' we would like to hear from you. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivational individual who has the ability to assess families and deliver support and challenge as part of one whole family plan. You will need to be able to work in a co-ordinated way involving families and professionals and have a commitment to working flexible hours to respond to families needs.

- To teach and enable effective intervention within the family in accordance with an agreed plan which supports them with their change planning and helps them achieve their individual goals
- To be able to work flexible hours which include a mixture of early mornings, evenings and weekend work
- To promote the practice of partnership with parents, young people and other professionals involved with the family
- To encourage and motivate families to engage well with social support, teaching by example and having full regard to their education, employment, training and social, recreational and health needs
- To build family routine around healthy food and meal times
- To enter full and accurate information in to computer based information systems; to ensure the security of such systems and the confidentiality of user information

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Educated to Foundation Degree Level or Equivalent - desirable
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent in Child Care, Social Care, Sociology, Psychology - desirable
- Understanding of attachment theories
- Understanding of Child Development
- Understanding of risk and safeguarding issues
- Experience of working with families where issues such as mental health, substance misuse or learning difficulties are present or where children may be at risk
