Thermal Spray Technician (Mechanical/Materials) Job

THERMAL SPRAY TECHNICIAN needed for a one year CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Schenectady, NY.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Laboratory/Testing Skills
- Good Mechanical Skills
- Material Science
- Sample Prep

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Support of Thermal Spray Operations within an R&D setting
- Responsible for preparing samples - cutting, grinding, grit blasting, spot welding
- Will design and building sample fixtures
- Equipment set up cleaning and changing of thermal spray guns and powder feeders
- Will Document all work - keep record of all experimental work
- Sample characterization - perform measurements

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of AAS degree in Material Scienc, Mechanical Engineering, Ceramics or Glass or similar technical degree
- One (1) year of lab experience
- Good Mechanical skills
- Effective Communication Skills - share data and discuss any observations with staff
