THERMAL ENGINEER/DIDCOT/6 MONTH/UP TO £45 PER HOUR

METOP SG RECIEVERS PROJECT

Develop preliminary thermal design of system and thermal models of systems. Produce thermal predictions, thermal analysis reports and thermal test plans. Prepare inputs and provide support for Preliminary Design Review. Develop preliminary thermal design of receiver systems, including all necessary analysis and trade-offs, undertaking work in accordance with relevant requirement documentation

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

- Thermal design and analysis of the Metop SG receiver systems in readiness for Preliminary Design review (PDR)

LIST OF DUTIES/WORK PROGRAMME/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Undertake work in accordance with relevant requirement documentation
- Develop preliminary thermal design of receiver systems, including all necessary analysis and trade-offs
- Develop detailed/reduced thermal model of receiver front-ends in ESATAN-TMS
- Establish thermal interface definitions, budgets, and required thermal hardware
- Prepare thermal engineering inputs to deliverable documentation (eg, design descriptions, model descriptions, analysis reports, interface documents)
- Prepare inputs (presentation material) for PDR
- Provide support to PDR (response to review items)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- ESATAN-TMS
- Thermal analysis and design, but focused on spacecraft design and space instrument design
- Space industry experience
- Qualified Engineer
- degree in Engineering/Physics/Aerospace Engineering
- ESATAN-TMSace instrument thermal engineering
