Eingestellt von OSRAM Sylvania

Gesuchte Skills: Design, Engineering, Automotive, Cad

Projektbeschreibung

Valeo Sylvania is a leader in the automotive lighting industry and supplies advanced lighting assemblies for forward, rear, signaling, and interior applications to the major automotive manufacturers in the United States. The operation was founded in 1978 and is a joint venture with 50/50 ownership between Valeo and OSRAM Sylvania. Our headquarters, including manufacturing and R&D is located in Seymour, Indiana and allows us to be close to our customers: Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Nissan, Honda, and Toyota. Valeo Sylvania also operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. The company is home to nearly 1,500 employees, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team! This exciting opportunity is designed for students in the Mechanical Engineering area of study with knowledge of heat transfer and/or fluid mechanics. Strong programming skills and mathematics background required. This internship will provide you with an introduction to defining consistent LED thermal design methodologies for LED lighting products to use during feasibility and production design phases. You will work alongside talented engineers and scientists and receive hands-on job experience focusing on the following areas:

•Update and improve Valeo Sylvania LED Heat Sink Design Tool by integrating new functionalities and new types of technical solutions (high power LEDs, extruded heat sink solution, "mousse" heat sink solution, flex technology, active and passing cooling). Training documentation and one training session of mechanical and electronic designers will be a part of this item.

•Update an existing Valeo Sylvania data mining tool (called Speed Tools) currently used by Valeo designers all around the world by integrating the latest Customer products. Speed Tools predicts thermal loads in system without CAD modeling the full Lighting Product. For this specific subject, GUI and Microsoft Access database programming are required.

•Participate in a global working group on condensation simulations. Target of this item is to deploy the solutions setup for LED lighting products studied currently in Europe. Design Guide Line explanations and Customer Presentation on this specific subject will be the deliverables of this item.

Qualifications
