TFS Administrator (Team Foundation Server)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TFS ADMINISTRATOR to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

Job Overview:
The TFS Administrator will participate in the orchestration of production software deployments, upgrades, maintenance and the triage of releases. This position will assist with the build management and deployment of all technical systems infrastructure supporting .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, JAVA, in a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment using Team Foundation Server (TFS).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the enterprise instance of Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
- Create and implement source control branching strategies.
- Administer work Item tracking configuration, implementation and reporting.
- Manage MS Build, Team Build configuration, and troubleshoot build breaks.
- Perform analysis of existing TFS practices and provide suggestions on how to best leverage the features of TFS.
- Enforcement of software quality standards.
- Responsible for Health Check Monitoring.
- Manager Failover and Backup coordination.
- Document all aspect of TFS management.
- Maintain and support developer tools and developer environments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, other technical field, or equivalent work experience required.
- Three plus (3+) years of experience managing, implementing, and administrating Microsoft Team Foundation Server in a multi-project enterprise.
- In depth knowledge of TFS best practices from real world implementation, upgrade, or migrations.
- Customizing Permissions, Check-in Policies, Team Portal, Areas and Iterations, Work Items, Branching, Builds, Reports, Process Guidance, and Documentation.
- Experience writing/configuring Build Scripts, MSI/Wix Installers.
- Hands on experience with Team Explorer Everywhere and Eclipse plug-in.
- TFS/SharePoint integration for work item management and reporting.
- Experience writing TFS Work Item Queries.
- Knowledge generating TFS Reports using SSRS.
- Hands on experience with TFS Integration Platform (TIP).
- Experience writing Batch Files, PowerShell scripts, and VBScript.
- Conversant with TFS Power Tools.
